I guess I have been really busy, since I havent had the time to post to my blog,,,So much has happened this year, that I really dont have the time to go into it. But I am moving along just fine.

I am really going to try to post to my blog more often, would love to get back into exploring what is going on in the blogger world.

The main reason I stopped blogging is due to some (one) nasty blogger. I just couldnt believe that someone could be so mean. But Im over that. If it starts again, Ill let you all know, so you can see what Im talking about.I didnt want to persue the MissNasty, not worth my time. Not worth destroying my creative well being. I believe what goes around comes around..HARDER.

So this is for a wonderful , and successful prospering year for all. May God bless you and yours, and keep you happy and healthy through the year.

WOW!! I have been so busy, I cant believe how long it has been since I posted last. YIKES..
Busy with my shop, my new designs for 2010 Christmas Stockings.
The weather has been crazy, it is cold , then warm then it has rained like crazy, and now today it is 85 and tomorrow it is suppose to rain. So painting all my junkin finds has been a huge task. I just finished painting a table black, first time with the black, IT looks amazing. My customer is going to LOVE it, I wish I had taken a before pic. I found it in the trash too, glass top, everything intact. LOVE THAT. Dont you ?

By the way.,,.HAPPY PINK SATURDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have had so many inquiries and comments about our Little Frank. Yes he is a blessing, and a HANDFUL. Today officially marks the day that he is an outdoor cat. With access to the garage at night. He has broken so many things , and gets into too much, He wants to be outside with nature, so he was "Booted out" after he knocked a vintage ceramic pumpkin off of a cabinet in the living room, I have no idea how he had the strength to do it, but it is now in too many pieces to fix. I really didnt want to do it, but it is time. I very worried Ill find him up in the Christmas tree this Holiday, or swinging from the garland on the fire place. I probably wont sleep tonight worrying about him outside, but sooner than later.

Now on to my pink!!
This past summer I was working on a new design for the stockings that I love to make more than anything, I stockpile the rest of the year, gearing up for STOCKING season. And this is what I came up with. Yes, there are Elf Stocking patterns , but this one is my own with my own twist on it. I wont have as many listed as I want because I am putting them in a boutique also. I hope you have a chance to get one, If your looking for a special color, just email me and Ill make one up for you .Or just go by my Ebay shop or Etsy Shop. You wont find them anywhere else, I made sure no one was making them like it. So for now you will only be able to get them from me, but you know how that goes. It wont be long before you see them all over the place :)

Ive had a very busy week , My middle son started college, preparing our youngest for 6th grade, had to get the new backpack :) , I have been completing some paint projects, just in time for a crazy summer flash flood type rainfall. WHEW!!! And Im not kidding about JUST IN TIME,, There were just a few clouds in the sky,,Very very hot when my boys brought my cabinet into the house, then about an hour later, this is what happened..It rained like this for about 30 minutes. This was MUCH needed, it washed away all the ash and soot that landed on all the homes from the huge fire 3 weeks ago, AH,,all clean. .

And then there is "Frank the Cinnamon Cat" , He loves this pink bowl, cracks me up. We did our responsible duty of neutering our cat, we hoped it would calm him down a bit, but he is still the trouble maker, into mischief, running around the house like he is crazy. Jumps in the Dryer while I'm folding clothes, gets in the shower when we take showers. lays next to my sewing machine.And he loves Hair bands, scrunchies, He finds the ones I lost, and chases them around the house, Scrunch paper into a ball and he will chase it and bring it back. Chases our black lab, I guess he thinks he is a dog too.

For those that have seen Frank grow up over the past 3 months, you can see how much he has grown. Doesn't fit in the bowl, but he sure tries. No matter what he does, HE MAKES US SMILE EVERYDAY. :)

Started my new collection of Doll Clothes this week called "FRilly Dolly Frocks"?, and there just happens to be some with PINK, so that is what I will show you for my favorite time of the week "PINK SATURDAY"

I was inspired to make clothes for these cutie dolls when I was invited to a "Tea" at the American Girl Restaurant. I instantly feel in love with the dolls. Took me a little while to get one, but here she is, Isnt she the cutest? Made up a pattern for a dress, and started cranking them out, If they dont sell , my doll will have a nice new wardrobe, but other than that, my little 5 year old cousin will be getting a new wardrobe for her Dolly just for being an inspiration for me. I love sending her a surprise packages.

Come by my ebay and see other pretty dresses I have to offer.

For thos that love updates on our little Frank, Well he has been into his normal mishief, he is getting too big to get into places he use to hide, and he runs so much he just passes out where ever.

Get your Family Heirloom Now Before the Holidays

Are you looking for that perfect gift for a family member, a friend, A baby shower gift with pictures of mom and dad as babies, a Bridal/Wedding Gift with the bride and groom growing up or when they were dating? No matter what you choose it is sure to turn into a family heirloom. I have been making stockings with the same pattern for over 25 years, and the Memory Stockings for 4 years on EBay and other venues over the years. Photos printed on 100% cotton Fabric, NOT IRON ON.. These will not crack.

Here's what I need:
1-up to 5 pictures emailed to me, No mailing, I don't want to be responsible for losing your valuable memories. They must be clear , and the bigger the better. I can either keep them the original color, or change them to antique ( I prefer the antique look) but its your heirloom.

2- Pick what color , Traditional reds and greens, shabby chic pinks, blues , purple, greens. Print is up to me, and I will do my best to work with you so your stocking is perfect. Look at a sample of the stockings I have made in the past.

3- please allow up to 3 weeks for delivery, the closer it gets to the holidays, the busier I get. I hope you have a chance to get one :)

4-You can Have one name embroidered on the front, or nothing at all.

All of my stockings are made with the best fabrics, and lined with a premium quilters fleece for durability. They are made like a scrap quilt and then top stitched throughout. then the inside is lined with a coordinating fabric, they are approx 18" from top to toe, and a jingle bell tied to the toe

I have made individual stockings for each child with their photos from baby to current , Family with the whole family. Firefighters , Fishermen, Marine Biologists. Babies First Etc, There is no limit. And my only suggestion, is to include a box of Kleenex with it. :)

Not just for Christmas anymore, will look sweet hanging all year long from a chair back, cabinet knob, but most of all by your Chimney with Care.

Wow this week has been crazy busy, almost didn't have time to post to my most favorite blogging day, so I'm starting early.

Not much pink , sorry about that. The week started out with a year in planning Family Reunion in Yosemite National Park , and lasted through Wednesday, It was amazing and memory making, wonderful pictures for a scrapbook, try getting everyone together for ONE picture,,,A challenge. My kids learned the faces that went with the names, many stories and LOTS of fun, Hugs and Tears. I made Memory rocks with all the names of those that have past, and we threw them into the river after a prayer and listening to a wonderful recording of my grandad talking about his grandchildren and Yosemite, it was like he was there with us. A wonderful emotional experience.

Then after being home for one day, and working on the never ending pile of laundry, a fire broke out in the hills above our town. BURNING out of control, many being evacuated , and the smoke is horrible. We are not in danger, at least I don't think so , at least by the fire, but the smoke may chase us out until it is over.

So , the only pink I have is from the pictures of the fire and of course to remind you that today is the last day to be part of my CHRISTMAS IN JULY GIVEAWAY.

And thank you Beverly for being such an awesome hostess for our pinkie lovers.

Alot of crazy weather around here this week, power on , power off, thunder,lightening strikes, fires, flash flood rain. So due to this I really didnt get much done this week. I wanted to show something pink, somethink new, but I havent worked on anything PINK. So I figured Id give you an update on Our Little Frank the kitten.
He actually gets into this "PINK" bowl all the time, has pushed it onto the floor in frisky kitten style, He is so crazy active, I guess its been a long time since we had a kitten in the house, Cant wait for him to get past this stage, he is very destructive too. You all know what I mean. But the worse thing, is that we have to lock him up in the bathroom at night because he jump on your head while you sleep , he likes to sleep on my neck, and that freaks me out. He is growing everyday and thinks he's boss.

That's all the pink I have this week, And all next week Ill be finishing up on my year long preparation of my family reunion, I cant wait.

Christmas in July at Cinnamonstitch ~Happy Pink Saturday~

Good Morning all you wonderful Pink Bloggy Friends! Another July has come around and many of us are busy preparing for the upcoming Christmas Holiday Season. I have been making these stockings for my entire married life and longer, Of course , they are changed over the years to go with what was in at that time. Every Year I try to change them up a little because there are so many wonderful Stocking Makers also.
This year I started using Colorized Antique Images. Some are of these wonderful images came from my family, and some I have found at Antique stores, Thrift stores etc. Finding them at Yard sales is sad, why would anyone want to practically giveaway these treasures. I recently got access to many family pictures that dated back to my great great grandparents, some pictures from the civil war era, I immediately put names and any information I had on them, so my children and beyond will know who they are , so they are not found in a pile on someones driveway.

I will still be using all the beautiful images and more that I have used in the past, But this year I added some of these priceless treasures, I hope you like them as much as I do. Dont forget to check out my giveaway for July. :)

Happy Pink Saturday Everyone, This week has flown by so fast, I have been so busy transforming all of my junkin goodies to Shabby Cottage Pretties, I wish I can keep them all my self, but My Family are not into the shabby chic let alone "PINK" , But since its one of my favorite colors and style , they have to tolerate a little bit. I am gradually sneaking in a little bit everyday :)

Today, here are some of my transformations, I wish I had taken before pictures, these were .50 cents at a yard sale, they were filthy with dirt inside, like they had been sitting out in someone yard, I just gave them a warm bath and then painted them up, and frosted the glass, Arent they Darling? They just need some candles and they will be listed next week in my ebay store. Im calling them my "TRASH TO CASH". And here are some more of my trash to cash finds in honor of our fun "PINK SATURDAY"

"FRANKLY FRANK FRIDAYS"

Every Friday will be my Frankly Frank Posting, It will be about his antics and adventures for the week, and believe me , he has a handful of antics .

Yes , he is just 9 weeks old now, and very comfortable in his surroundings, he finally met the older cats in the house after his quarentine that was recommended by the vet, due to all the illnesses shelter animals pick up, but he has been left with a purr that sounds like a baby tiger, and unfortunately a respiratory problem that he will have the rest of his life.

He gets into everything , just like my 18 month old grandson , he is small enough to get under furniture that cannot be moved without a dolly, he tears up pieces of paper and spreads it throughout the house, not to mention what he does to his litter box. If it werent for the bell on his collar, we wouldnt be able to find him.

The introduction to the other cats was scary, probably more to me than him. The oldest cat "Butch" is 17 years old, but you wouldnt know it , he just smelled him and walked away.

Our Grey "Ash" whom adopted us many years ago, doesnt like the baby at all, his fangs came out and that scared me, He isnt a mean cat at all, but its his territory so we have to watch him. His fangs are longer than Frank is wide so who knows what damage he could do to him, he just staired at him with his big green eyes like he was going to attack him. YIKES!

In an earlier post about Frank I told you about "Bagherra", he was the cat that adopted us, and then went on a journey, we went to the shelter many times looking for him, and never found him, he was gone for exactly a month when we adopted "Frank". Saturday night, my brother walked in the house and said he had a "SURPRISE" for me, GUESS WHAT IT WAS!? It was "Bagherra!! he came back.. I couldnt help but cry, I was so happy to see him, I knew he was out chasing Butterflies! And got lost, but he found his way back, but we are just saying he is the visiting uncle, because who knows when he will take off on another journey. He didnt much like Frank , he hissed and swatted at him, and frank went back for more, he keeps a little distance now but Frank likes Bagherra : ) There definitely will not be anymore cats around my house, 3 plus our visiting Uncle are more than enough. And FRANK is a handful!!

Here we are again on another BEAUTIFUL PINK SATURDAY!!, one of my favorite Days of the week, thanks to sweet Beverly for hosting http://howsweetthesound.typepad.com/my_weblog/ I hope you go visit with her and all the other sweet pinkies in the blog land on Saturday, Its really alot of fun, and so many wonderful ladies out there that love to share with you all their pretty pinks with you .

I love Pink more than any other color, but since I have 4 men,(boys) in the house its hard to do what I really want to do, so I have to sneak in pink where ever I can. This week I'm going to share a cute addition to our family. His name is "Frank". A while back I told you about the sweet cutie that adopted us, well, like I thought, he traveled on to the next destination, but before we gave up on him , we went to the local animal shelter many times, hoping to find him, But he wasn't there, I'm just going to believe that he was chasing butterflies like he loved to do , and got disoriented, and he found some other happy family to take him in. So in honor of that sweet little guy, we adopted Frank from the shelter, Isn't he just the cutest?!! Frank is very little, I don't think he is even 8 weeks old, we have had him for 5 days now, and he is just getting warmed up to us, We had to put a bell on him, so we could find him under furniture in the house. HE is so cute, I'm so glad we could adopt one of the shelter babies, All I can say, that is so VERY important,,PLEASE spay or neuter your animals, the shelters are FULL of these sweeties from babies to seniors, and it was so hard to walk away without taking one. They only keep them for 5 days, and you know what happens after that. :( SPAY OR NEUTER,,,

Frank is sitting in my newly re purposed doll high chair, I would love to sell it on eBay, but because of the size, the shipping would be gross. But we will see..Christmas is coming :)

Here is Frank in one of my PINK Bowls, He wont be able to do that pretty soon. :) Just thought it was cute, and PINK for all you Pinkies this beautiful Saturday.

Wanda's New Shoes~Happy Pink Saturday!!

This is the official first day of Summer for my Middle son, But my little guy had to drag himself out of bed this morning and go to school , After a Long weekend in my favorite place in the WHOLE world Yosemite National Park. If we could live there I would pick up everything and move today. I dont care how many people are visiting this Jewel in California, I would love it anyway. On our way up to my little piece of paradise, Our sweet little Trailer "Wanda",(yes, we name our vehicles) decided to kick off one of her shoes, so we sat on the side of the road until AAA came along and helped change out her shoe with a very ugly spare. I thought the hubby bought our sweet little Wanda all new shoes before this trip, but you know men, AH we can get one more trip out of them..NOT!! So off we went to the closest Trailer Shoe store and bought our sweet home away from home some new shoes..2 hours later, we were on our way with Wanda smiling behind us , showing off her new pretties :) , Finally we arrived at the cute little towns outside the park, I love these little towns, this time though I noticed MANY little thrift stores, OH lets stop PLEASE!! Nope ,no where to park , too big. I begged my hubby to just drop me off for a few minutes and circle around for a gas station , NOPE!! He didnt want to drive up that mountain in the dark if we could avoid it. I was so mad, but understood. These towns know that the majority of their sales go to us crazy thrift store fanatics, they should have ample parking :) All I know is that I had room in Wanda for all kinds of fun stuff if only they had a spot just for her. After all that, we still ended up going up that mountain and down into the valley in the Dark, snow still on the sides of the road, and PITCH BLACK outside. Did I say "SCARY"!!. It was freezing the next morning, but so so beautiful, The water was high, the falls were full. Did I already tell you that I LOVE THIS PLACE. We enjoyed our short trip with our little guy, the first time going on a camping trip without his siblings, I know it was hard for him, because all we wanted to do was kick it, rest under the beautiful trees, and he wanted to explore, and drive us crazy, so there was alot of compromising, I guess we all have alot of changes to get use too. I am planning a family reunion in July at all of our favorite beautiful Jewel in California, all his sibling will be there, plus many , many , MANY cousins that are his age, It will be a wonderful Experience for him.

I'm writing this early because the rest of my week is so full of wonderful Family Celebrations, my Sweet Joey is graduating from High School on Thursday afternoon, We are so very proud of him. He has had a wonderful Senior Year.

He Earned his Rank of Eagle in Boy Scouts, went to the prom, Won at his High School Talent Show,

Donated Blood Regularly to the Red Cross, Turned 18, won a small scholarship for his Community Service,and now Graduation. And its just the beginning.

TEXTING??

I have been putting off adding Texting to our FAMILY plan due to a few reasons, its not because I'm afraid of technology.

First of all my husband thinks it too impersonal, well ,,Yes it is, He didn't want to see the kids walking around with their faces stuck to the front of their phones,TEXTING, and the #1 reason is that we both are very worried our kids will be texting while they are driving.

Our Middle Son is graduating from High School , and all he wanted was to have text messaging added to his phone, so we gave in. Added text messaging and bought him a new high tech phone for his graduation.With the BIG WARNING, get caught on the cell phone or Texting while driving the car, and its OFF.

I am not kidding, within 1 hour , he had 125 text messages racked up already. CRAZY!!

I have been picked on by many of my friends, WHY DON'T YOU HAVE TEXT MESSAGING?, I would stay in touch more if I could Text.

Why cant you just pick up your little cell phone and call me!

So now the whole family has texting, it is actually a new fun , TIME CONSUMING thing to do, but it is just like emailing. One dimensional. No expression from your voice or your face.

I would rather talk on the phone or face to face, too many things get taken out of context through emails and text messaging, I would rather hear your voice, so I made sure one of the other rules for the text messaging, is that you call me on the phone at least once a week, I want to hear your voice.

Also, maybe I can keep up with technology better by learning to type with 2 fingers :)

Fun with my Cricut (Happy Pink Saturday)

When I invested in this Provocraft Cricut, I had such grand ideas of what I was going to do with it, but it never came about. It sat on a shelf in my craft closet for almost a year, I didnt even want my kids using it, because I spent too much money on it, to let it get used and possibly broken. Well, I went to clean my ever challenging craft closet, that is known as the FRED FLINTSTONE closet in my home, If you know anything about the Flintstones then you know what Im talking about :) I am always scared something is going to jump out on someone if they open it, (Its not really that bad, its an organized chaos. My youngest one always opens the door just to smell it, He loves the smell that comes from it, Funny kid. Anyway, while cleaning I pulled out the Cricut from the top shelf and found the multitude of cartridges that I just had to have, Some still in the packing, Isnt that just gross. Im not really like that, but I really did and still have GRAND ideas of what I can do. My middle son asked if he could just see what it did, and I gave in, what the heck , why not, someone should get some use out of it..Plugged it in,,and it DIDNT WORK!! What could be wrong with it?? I used it for MAYBE a total of an Hour!! I went into a panic, I spent how much?? and it doesnt work? where is the warranty?! It had a 1 year warranty, and it ended the prior week, FIGURES, thats the story of my life. I called Provocraft, and spoke to the sweetest lady, she first said there was nothing that could be done since it was out of warranty, I wanted to cry,,OK, can it be sent back for repair? After telling her the story of the amount of use, and it was tucked away in a safe place, PLEASE help,,and if you want to get technical, It was a mail order, and it took 3 weeks for it to get to me, so TECHNICALLY I did not have it in my hands for a year YET. After a few minutes of silence while she spoke to someone else, she came back on the phone, and said , where can we send you a new one. OH THE RELIEF, on top of that , they didint want me to mail back the broken one, no stress, they just mailed me a new one. So now, instead of tucking it away for safe keeping, IM using it, My kids are using it, play , play all you want, maybe thats why it stopped working in the first place, it needed to be used. My youngest has learned how to use it, its awesome for reports. And of course scrapbooking. Vinyl letters for Yard sale signs, Oh my goodness, Im going to use the glass etching on one of my new lines coming soon , but Im not going to tell you what it is,,Surprises are better :)

But the list is endless what you can do with this machine, I just glad my kids are using it. I guess she likes being out with the family.

Use it before you loose it!

Just like your pretty plates that sit in your cabinet,,USE THEM!! Your special enough to use them for your self, thats why you have them. When your gone, then what? Did you Enjoy them, or are they now in a dusty Antique store for someone else to stick in their cabinet.

Well thats another story for another time.

Saturday!! I love Saturdays, my day to go junkin, LOVE JUNKIN. And the weather is perfect , so Im sure the signs all over town will be plentiful.

Pink Saturday, I love Pink Saturday Too!! Love visiting everyones , well as many blogs that I can, This week Im an going to feature my new product , that I have listed on Ebay. I have made a pretty holder for the new

Kleenex Disposable Towels, I love these towels, They are perfect when there is sickness in the house, or when you have a house full of people, just think, You dont have to share the same towel to dry your hands on that someone else may not have washed all the germs away before you. I know that paper towels are not the GREEN way to go, but I use them in moderation. And if it keeps the germs from spreading, then Im going to use them.

Im sure to some , the boxes that these towels come in are just fine, but I also know that there are alot of you pink gals out there that would rather have a prettied up box, Just buy the towels and slide that plain box into the pretty one. I hope you come by my ebay and check out the other ones I have to offer.

Protecting your Cherished Photos

Due to my procrastination, I almost had a huge disaster with my cherished Photos. Over the years we accumalate 100's of photos on our Personal Computers, with that thought in the back of our heads, "I need to put those on an External Drive just in case my computer fails". I put it off, and Put it off, I actually started going through all of them last week, putting all my #2 sons photos into one file for his graduation Video, and as I was doing it, I found 100's of photos I had forgotten about, and in the back of my head, "I better get these on a disk just in case"..BUT,,procrastination set in.

Yesterday, I inherited a Trojan on my computer, someone had it in an email, hopefully unknowingly, and I opened it , the email took so long to load , that I just said forget it, and I reset my browser. Well, the damage was already done. It completely froze up my computer. At first I didnt panic,,because I have one of those handy protection things on mine, that I pay yearly for, and its not cheap. So , It will be fine, Just have to figure out what to do to get my computer back . WELL forget the protection, they didnt do ANYTHING, oh well is about what they said. The little hairs on the back of my neck started raising, a little panic set in, I dont care about the computer, I just want my pictures!! My brother came over and helped me restore my computer, and assured me that my pictures will be intact. After a couple hours, my computer went back online, all my programs that I had installed had to be reinstalled, just like a new computer, BUT NO PICTURES, NO FILES , we couldnt find them, Everything was gone. 4 years of pictures from an old computer and 3 years of photos from this one, all my kids pictures, videos, I cant even tell you how many images for my business I have ..ALL GONE. I had to go pick my little guy from school, and I cryed the whole way, screaming at myself for my stupid procrastination. Composed myself just in time to not freak out my son, got home and just sat and stared at my computer monitor.. IM GOING TO FIND THEM..I started clicking away , everywhere they could be, I know they are on here, my storage is still the same, click, click, click,,,I FOUND THEM,,ALL OF THEM, 7 years of my kids, vacations, holidays, all those special moments, my grandbabies birth to his first step ...Hiding. WHEW!!!!!!!!!! I was lucky this time, someone was looking over my shoulder. GUESS WHAT IM DOING TODAY....
Im protecting these once in a lifetime photos, by putting them on an external harddrive, and then on disks for safe keeping

If this story saves one families cherished photographs, then I did my job. I am getting them printed out too, so they can be put into scrapbooks , just in case the disks go bad, or in the future there is no way to watch them. You never know...I have a box full of video cassettes with no way to transfer them, because the video camera doesnt work anymore. More memories waiting to be forgotten , due to Technology ....

5 Best Friends~ Happy Pink Saturday!!

Happy Pink Saturday Ladies, and Happy Mothers Day!! It has been a wonderful week for reconnecting with family and friends.

This weekend I heard from one of my childhood BEST friends, and it started me thinking of how many friends I have had over the years that I can honestly say were and will always be my BEST friends. I can count them on one hand, five best friends, all for different times in my life, and probably what helped mold me into who I am today. Other than family, these 5 friends had huge impacts on me, enough for me to remember each one of them with love in my heart, that love that will always be there , no matter what happens.

My first one, is Beth, I met her in Elementary School, both of our moms became best friends too, we did everything together, then Jr high came, and she had to go to a different one then me, I was beyond defastation, My best friend not going with me to Jr High?? I have to go alone? Even though we were separated we stayed connected for a long time, but soon that communication grew more and more apart, and then Poof she was gone. I had another Elementary School friend too, that would hang around with Beth and I, werent as close, but later on in my life she pops back in.

Then Junior High, had alot of new friends, more of a gang of friends now, but one stood out more than the rest, Lori. We did everything together, just like Beth and I use to do. Talked about everything, EVERYTHING. Did everything together, BEST FRIENDS. I cant even remember everything we did, but I would say that she had the biggest impact in my life. High School came along , cool, Im not going to loose my friends, My best friend was going to the same school. Into the year, she told me that her family was moving,,Oh wow, that was like a ton of bricks hitting me, Im going to loose my BEST Friend, the friend that we told secrets too, shared our stories, talked on the phone for hours, went everywhere together. Now what !!
She moved away, we kept in touch for a while she came to see me, a few letters were exchanged and then POOF she was gone. What happened to my BEST FRIEND?! I had many other friends but not that special one, Then along came Wendi, she was the other friend from Elementary School. She was another one of those friends that I lost due to school boundaries , we lived on opposite sides of the line, but when we all went to High School, the boundaries changed and we all ended up in the same High School, Except Beth, she had moved and was out of those boundaries still. :(

So, there was Wendi, she became one of those priceless friends in my life, Now that is 3. Older now, different time in our lives, HIGH SCHOOL the senior year. She played a huge roll in molding me into who I am today. We had so much fun, we did everything together, school, and worked together. Graduated from High School, then we sort of parted ways, not in a bad way, but new adventures. Then there was Kris, just like the rest of those special friends , we were inseparable, more grown up , worked together, did everything together, during this time I met my last best friend, My hubby. Kris and I , and my future hubby did alot together, a friendship that carried on for a few years, a friendship that I will cherish the rest of my life, We shared everything, We both got married, she was there when my first son was born, then poof, she was gone. My hubby was and still is my best friend to this day, I have had and still have many amazing friends in my life, but I guess there is only room for ONE true Best Friend.
Many years have passed and I always wonder how the other 4 of my Best friends are . I found Beth a couple years ago on My Space, we have stayed connected since, Wendi has always been around, I always have known where she is, special moments in her life, I know about, we have connected and will always stay connected. Kris, well I know where she is, but the connection is weak, Im sad about that, but she must have her reasons, but she will always be in my heart. Lori, now she is one of those Best Friends that had the BIGGEST impact on my life, other than my Hubby. I have been looking for her for 30 years, I know , 30 years, How can that be if she was such a good friend. Well, we all grow apart in some way, and find our own paths, life gets busy. I honestly have been looking for her for many years, computers are great for researching and finding people, but I could never find anything. Then something wonderful happened..The wonders of FACEBOOK..She found me! I cant tell you how I felt when I saw her invite pop up in my email. There are no words to describe it. I just started to cry, thats all I could do, My best friend found me. What a wonderful Feeling..PRICELESS!!
We spent hours chatting, and Im sure there will be many more hours spent , talking about our lives. I know I am truely Blessed to have had these people in my life, and now to keep them all there, Im not going to let any of them POOF!! ever again. Thank you for being who you are, and inspiring me throughout my life!

This may have been a little boring for those that dont know me, but I wrote this mainly for my 5 friends, and for every friend Ive ever had , have and will have. You all inspire me, Only good thoughts , love and blessings :)

And a little bit of Pink for our Pink Saturday, Well ,,Light Lavender, want to share my favorite color rose in my garden, I love all roses, but today its this one :) , Im not good with the names of the roses, I just know its beautiful, and then I want to share the pretty California Poppies that pop up everywhere in the Antelope Valley of Southern California, I just love when they pop up in my yard and I didnt plant it, what is really neat, this one showed up in an empty pot and today it bloomed, I have more throughout my yard and when I first moved her 20 years ago, I thought they were weeds before they bloomed, and I would pull them out, I KNOW!! can you believe that?! Now I make sure my kids know to leave them alone, they are my Favorite for sure.

Happy May to all you wonderful Bloggers out there, I hope your enjoying your Saturday outside in the sunshine, Thats why Im doing my post a little early. I want to be outside, with hope it will be a little bit warmer and dryer than it has been the rest of the week. I have so much painting to do, and since I have to do all my painting outside, I have to hope for nice weather with minimal wind..MINIMAL WIND in Palmdale is rare, except in the morning, so Im all prepared to get up early and get some of my painting projects started , at least with the priming. And of course I need to get some of my Saturday Morning Junking done. I LOVE saturday morning junking. Some are good, some aren't for treasures, but its always FUN. My sister and I so much fun, we always have a little contest between each other, this week I get to pick, so in light of that, I want to introduce you to a blogger I just found, Here name is Suzie, her blog is so cute, I learn something new from every blog I visit, and this one is probably used by many, but since Im not a hardcore scrapbooker I really never thought to do this, but she uses the cutest vintage childrens books to embellish her scrapbook pages, ADORABLE, These are books I remember from Elementary School , So one of my challenges with my sister is to find a childhood book, I normally pass books up, but not anymore. This motivated me even more to get my graduating sons scrapbook caught up, Today I was working on a DVD of photos of him growing up, for his graduation, I am so embarrassed to say that I have not added to it since 2000, that is 10 years..What have I been doing? I know what it is, thats about the time everything became digital, all my pictures are on my computer, and disks. I use to be so good about my kids scrap books, my youngest has a box of disks, and a practically empty scrapbook. That is just awful. So thank you Suzie for giving me some motivation to get them caught up, I am going to hunt for those cutie old books too.

This week I didnt get much done to show you that would represent Pink, Alot of projects almost done, cant wait to share them, something different, but until then,Im going to keep it to myself. But I did find these pretty glasses that I have available today on my Ebay. They are Franciscan Desert Rose, Ive never seen these glasses that match the very popular Franciscan Dishes. Also one of my sweet pink lampshades is available , I hope you come visit. I also have an image to share with all of you, since I dont have much pink to share, I always have plenty of Pretty Pink Images. I hope you find something pretty to make with it.

First Rose

My favorite rose in my garden was the first to bloom, It has the prettiest scent, probably the only one that actually has a scent strong enough to enjoy. Its lavender, the picture was taken this morning so the morning sun was shining on it, Ill take another later this afternoon when the sun is on the other side of the house. This year we have had so much rain, Love it, and more is coming tonight, but due to all the rain, I had a pretty flower pop up in a garden that normally I cant grow anything but weeds in. I filled this planter up with flowers last year, hoping they would stick, even though they rarely do, but I always try. After about a month they were all dead or eaten by something. This spring I had a big surprise when one of the flowers came back all on its own, and its huge!! Must be due to all the rain?

It is sitting amoung some pumpkin seedlings that my son started, he is hoping to get that one pumpkin to grow this year, He tries every year at that too.This time he put them all over the yard, hoping one will hold. Along with Corn, My son is 18 years old, and to see him out in the yard tending his little garden,,IS PRICELESS :)

Busy busy week, and coming to an end with some excitement in our house for our Middle Son. Its his High School Prom!! Isnt that neat! Love this kind of stuff. Picked up the tux, wow,,he is a different looking kid, I mean Young Man. He wanted me to make his Dates Corsage, that made me smile. He came home with the flowers , then I was on the hunt for all my floral supplies, found everything, made up the bow to match her dress, then wired each stem, taped etc,

showed the finished corsage to my son, and he just said,,CUTE... I guess , what else could he say. KIDS!!

The rest of my week was spent on repurposing my junking finds, that had already been painted the prior week. NO luck painting this past week,,IT RAINED < AND RAINED...Dont get me wrong, I love the rain, even the cold weather, and we need the water desperately, So I just put my other projects in the garage until the sun decides to stay out long enough to paint them.

I bought the crystal base lamp, made the shade, and one of my Lamp Charms tm. The shade and the charm will be available on my ebay.This cutie was given a fresh coat of pink Paint , and it SOLD!!

So much to do, and Me and my sis are off junking tomorrow. We are going to start video taping it, because its a crack up. Watch for upcoming Episodes of the "Palmdale Picker Divas"! :)

Spring has sprung for sure today in beautiful Southern California, and WOW, a perfect picture for Pink Saturday. This is my ornamental Plum tree in my before spring cleanup backyard , this tree is always my favorite blooming tree in my yard, but it only stays like this for less than a week, because as soon as it blooms, the Santa Ana winds come and blow off all the blooms. So, with Pink Saturday in mind I caught some pics before its blown bare. Isnt it just BEAUTIFUL?!!

This week has been full of pink for me. Back to junking and repurposing once loved items so they can get more love by someone else :)

Some of my Completed Projects this week

It has been the perfect week to be working outside in the paint. First of all, I love bringing new life into
past loved items. I know there is someone out there that will love them again.

Earlier this week I posted some of my junking finds, and due to the most beautiful weather, I was able to get alot done.

THis is one of the little lamps, a little bit of paint and a new custom shade , so cute. and then the little perfume bottle next to it, all victorianed up. And remember the tired looking brown table, All it needed was some fresh paint, a pretty Catherine Klein Roses Decal, and a pretty pink glass knob, which I ordered, so I guess technically its not done, but I couldnt resist sharing. There are a few more things in their final stages that Ill share later. I hope you enjoyed, and come back soon. Our Adopted Kitty

I dont know what it is around here, but for some reason, the cats just love our house. About 5 years ago, a beautiful gray cat adopted us, just showed up one day and never left.

Recently another beautiful Teenage Cat showed up, we tryed to discourage him from staying, he belonged to someone, Im sure they missed him. We hung signs around the area, and contacted the animal shelter, but no one claimed this dear little guy. He didnt want to leave anyway. I told my little guy to not get attached to him, because he did not belong to us, he was just on a journey passing though. But it has been 3 weeks now, and he isnt going anywhere. Last night I found him in my older sons bed. I just couldnt throw him out in the 30 degree cold when he was so warm and cozy curled up next to my son. So now what? He is so friendly, he isnt afraid of anyone, he gets into everything, and I mean EVERYTHING. I found him up on my china cabinet playing with a champaign glass that my son gave me, that I hadnt put away yet. He drinks out of the toilet,,YES,,he does! Craziest thing Ive ever seen. he chases a ball, he flips, he jumps out from behind the coach and grabs your leg, he chases the light of a laser pen. And he is a lovey. My oldest son gave him a name, even after I told him not too, HE ISNT OUR CAT!! But now we call him Bagerra, I guess its a character in the Jungle book, The spelling may be wrong too, I have no idea where or why that name, but now it fits. So now we have another cat that has Adopted us. If we dont hear from anyone for a couple more weeks, he is going to be fixed. For now he is a guest in our house, with his own food, his own bowl, and a feast last night of freshly cooked rotissorie chicken. What more can a cat want.

JUNK SALE JUNKIES

It has been a while since my sister and I ventured out Junking. First of all, the weather has been crazy, and second, I have just been WAY too busy with other important things..WHAT??? too busy for junking?? YIKES..

So, listening to the trustie weather guy, it was suppose to be a beautiful day for junking,,ha,,wouldnt that be funny if they said that? I was up bright and early , with all the must have junking supplies, looked outside,,looked pretty windy, nothing new around here, so I wrapped up warm , and off I went to pick up my sissy.

We always try to make a game out of it, so this week we had to accomplish 3 things each. #1-find something that we can Sling on ebay that all we have to do is snap a pic and list, Love that word, Dont you? "Sling"
#2-Find something to repurpose #3 Find something Pink

First stop,,A HUGE rummage sale at one of the High School, we were the first ones there, IMAGINE THAT. The only problem with being the first one, is that everyone had not finished unloading, and since we were anxious to get going, being our first junking day for the year, we scrambled through what was there, found some goodies, and off we went to the next. And by the way,,It was FREEZING , with blowing wind, my sister didnt dress for that kind of weather, so we didnt stay long at each location because she was freezing..There were yard sale signs up EVERYWHERE, we just love seeing the multi colored signs all over the neighborhood. Unfortunately we took my little mustang, BIG mistake, I could have filled a truck. So we had to settle for filling my little car to the top .

A very successful day, I must say. Here are some of the items I found. THis is just a little bit . I didnt feel like taking pictures of everything today. But These are items that are already being REPURPOSED!!
LOVE THAT.

Ill show these when Im all done, making them Pretty. Today, being Sunday, and the day was beautiful , perfect for spending the day outside getting some fresh air. I already sanding down the table, and it will have a fresh coat of primer and cottage white paint by the end of the week , weather willing. My little Milk glass lamps will have the wood and brass painted white, and new shades made custom just for them, I love doing this, but I hate giving them up in the end, but that is why I do it, Its my little income, so I can keep doing it :)

As for our little game, I found a couple things to SLING, a bunch of stuff to repurpose, but couldnt find anything PINK ! Maybe next week.

Not much pink going on around my house the past 3 weeks, all preparations for my Sons Boy Scout Eagle Ceremony in full force, as you read this , we will be celebrating his achievement.

We are so very proud of him, he has grown into a wonderful young man.

Another fun story this week , My husband is helping out with the renovation of a house for an Academy Award Nominated Actor, Jeremy Renner. He was on The "Today" show when they announced the nominations for the Acadamey awards and found out there that he was nominated for Best Actor in the Movie 'The Hurt Locker". At that time they interviewed him and asked how he felt, and he said,,"Im going to have to "Break some Serious Legs" , I thought it would be fun to make him a hankerchief with that statement embroidered on it. My hubby gave it to him and he was very gracious . Then later this week my hubby brought home the "People Magazine and told me to read an article in it.

Jeremy mentioned the Hankerchief that I made for him, as his Lucky charm for the Academy Awards..WOW! I never expected anything like that. Even though my name isnt mentioned, it is still one of the nicest things anyone has ever said.

All of our love and positive energy to him on his awesome achievement. He was really good in this movie.He totally deserves it.

Happy Valentines Day

Hope everyone is having a wonderful Valentines Day!!
Its sunny and 70 in So. Cal, today. PERFECT. Im taking advantage of having all my windows wide open , Air out the Winter gloom. It may not last long , and Ill have to close up all the windows again.

My youngest wanted to make valentine cookies,,yes, he is 10 and still wants mom to do stuff with him, I know that the preteens will hit soon, and he wont want anything to do with me until he is 24 :( so I suck up all of it, as much of it he wants to give me until then. He wants to be a chef, but is the pickiest eater ever. I told him he needs to at least try everything, and as you get older your tastes change and you may like even more, but at least give everything a chance especially if your going to be a chef, How will you know if it tastes good if you wont even eat it. He loves cookies though, so maybe he can be a pastry chef. I know that will change too. My middle guy wanted to be a Paleontoligist for as long as I can remember, but now at 18 and getting ready to go to college, he wants to write and produce music for Movies . BIG DIFFERENCE.

Again , another saturday!! This week has been busy , busy, as usual for me. Last week I told you about the rag quilt that I was making for my son, well its done. I love making these quilts, they are time consuming but easy. And when it was all done, just the look on my sons face made it all worth it. He will have this forever. Im selling custom similiar on my ebay site, if anyone has a boyscout in their life. I call it a Brag quilt.

Also this week I started featuring other sellers in my ebay store, My first feature seller is someone that I have sold her items in the past, She paints all my jingle bells for my stockings, and She is my sister.

She made the prettiest vanity mirror, oh my, its yummy, and PINK,,,just in time for that valentine in your life, or for Mothers day. It will look pretty just laying on your vanity, or hanging on the wall. So sweet.

Is it Saturday already? Wow this week flew by FAST!!

I am so busy planning and preparing for my Boy Scout Son's Eagle Ceremony, its sort of like planning a wedding in 6 weeks. You can either go fast and easy, or all out, Im going in between. This week I did get some things pink done to list on Ebay. First one is this sweet journal, fashioned after all the popular altered art items out there. But mine is all made of fabric, and embroidery, lace and buttons. A nice hard bound art journal is the base . I came up with this , when I noticed I was scribbling ideas or sketching thoughts on little pieces of paper, I knew that couldnt continue, I was loosing those ideas everytime I cleaned off my desk. So, to remedy that problem, I started using one of the journals without the sweet covering. Its full of sketches, and thoughts, lists for material I need , etc. It fits perfect in my purse, so when Im out and about, I have it with me, so I can refer to it when Im stocking up on supplies, or maybe Ill come up with some other fun ideas and I have my book with me. No excuse anymore, that I forgot what I was thinking, or what I needed. It has really helped me. Except when I leave it on my craft table at home :)

Another item I made this week , is just like my Valentines Tussies, but this one is for easter, I even made it woven like a basket, but with fabric, had fun with my serger making the majority of this one. But like most of my week , I have been sewing my sons Boy Scout Memory Quilt. Its just a rag quilt, nothing fancy, easy to take care of . You know, boys cant have those fancy quilts and take care of them properly. Plus I had to do something different. When he was in cubscout, he was given a shadow box, with all the merit badges etc put in it. They do have the same thing for Boy Scouts. But you buy all new patches, they are not the originals because many of them are already on his sash or his uniform. It is a huge expense for something that will end up in a box, and never looked at again. So I decided to put all his patches from campouts , ranks etc, onto a rag quilt. I used fleece instead of flannel, and found some awesome fabric made just for Boy Scouts. THis is a picture of it before it was sewn together. Right now its in the dryer, for the rag process. Ill post a picture when its done. But I know my son will appreciate this more, and be able to enjoy his accomplishment more with this, and they are HIS patches, that were on his uniform at one time.

After a much needed break, my sewing machine was turned back on. I have so many ideas, I had to write them down, so I can go back and create something new. To start out my new year at Cinnamonstitch

I made some of these sweet tussie Mussies, at least they are fashioned from those victorian beauties. Of course its made with Pink roses, because they make me smile :). I use a vintage postcard image that has been printed onto cotton fabric,, lots of handmade ribbon roses, and ruffles.. I was thinking of a way to give some of my friends a sweet surprise, and this is what came out,,fill it up with some fun goodies and leave it hanging on their door on Valentines day..

Busy Busy Year already

So much going on, I havent even turned on my sewing machine since Christmas,,WHAT?!!!! yep, my sewing machine is calling me, I have so many ideas running through my head, so They are written down for the near future.

But for now, its all about my Joey, he earned his Eagle Rank in Boy Scouts,,How proud can you get?! Such a huge accomplishment for him, and now we are planning the celebration, its like a wedding, but with less time. We want it to be perfect for him, without embarrassing him :) too much anyway.

I have been digging out all his 10 years of boyscout memories, they are everywhere, I think I saved everything, just not all in one spot. 10 years from the beginning of Cubs to now,,10YEARS!! All worth it though. A couple rough spots along the way, but now he can look back and feel he accomplished something that not all boy scouts do, He didnt give up, even though I know he would have many times. And the one thing that was his favorite out of all of this was his Eagle Project, in which he collected over 2000 DVD's for Operation Gratitude, Operation Gratitude puts together Care packages for our Military overseas for the holidays. He enjoyed every minute of that. So proud of him for that too.

He has many fun memories, oh , he is such a cutie. I was the Cubscout Leader and all of my boys were so much fun, out of my 8 Cub scouts , My Joey and one other made it to Eagle. I

So back to planning his party, so many fun things to do. In the middle of making him a quilt with all of his Patches on it, and some old pictures. The hall, the food, the cake, the decorations, oh my, and the invitations. Commendations from the president , the govenor, the mayor, a flag flown over the capital in his honor, ceremonies, special guest, whew!! All worth it for my Joey.

EARNED EAGLE RANK

He is turning 18 next week, and he wants to have a party, so we have to tuck that in there somewhere, and to top it all off, He graduates from High School in May.

Plannning a Family Reunion to take place in July,,My whole family, so far so good.

And then Trying to get a little bit going on my little business "Cinnamonstitch" so my customers dont think I dissapeared. Im hear, just a little busy with my most important things in life, MY FAMILY!!

This week we were asked to tell you about our favorite Christmas Decoration by our wonderful hostess Beverly.

Many years ago, I was very much into Ceramics, I made so many things, I just loved it. But the best thing about it was spending time with my Mom. I was a new mom and commuting an hour or more to work everyday with my first little guy . It was so exhausting that I started staying with my parents once a week just so I could get some much needed sleep, They lived less than 5 minutes from my job. My hubby communted in the opposite direction , so we didnt see much of each other until the weekends. On that one night after work my mom and I would go to a ceramic class, while grandpa watched my little guy. I soaked up that class as much as I could. This went on for about 5 years. During that time I graduated to making ceramic dolls, animals with cloth doll bodies,etc. My teacher always challenged me, because she just wanted to see what I would do with it. One of my challenges was Santa claus. I couldnt wait to get started. pouring, cleaning,painting , firing,(praying it didnt break in firing) , glaze and one more firing. Oh ,,he made it. Then she gave me a pattern to make a cloth body. Then i started on the MRS. , She made it through all the firings too. NOW what...I had to make clothes???!! Yikes..

After a couple weeks of deciding on how I was going to clothe my treasures, I dug out my sons first christmas outfit, a little santa jammie with a hat. It fit perfect, only adjustment, cutting off the feet and altering the hat to fit the little santa head, The dress for the Mrs!! No problem. Alot of love went into this sweet little couple, and I found a use for my #1 son's outfit. Mrs claus is wearing a locket with his picture in it, wearing that outfit. The little mouse was made by my mom at the same time. Every Year They are the first things unpacked, Always praying that they didnt get damaged putting them away every year, Always brings a smile to my face as I carefully remove them from their yearly naps. Always sad to see them tucked away for another year.

This week we were asked by Our favorite Host~BEVERLY~ to tell a story about our favorite Childhood Memories during Christmas.. I have so many sweet memories, I would never have enough room., so Im going to keep it short and sweet :)

Making Holiday Gingerbread Cookies with my mom, Making the annual Pinata for Christmas Eve, My Dad putting up his Train around the tree, which he still does, even with us all grown up, the pic of him is from last year, isnt he adorable,,like a little kid, Celebrating Christmas Eve with my WHOLE family. Watching my dear sweet uncle Mike who never ate anything sweet, sneaking Christmas Cookies :), and one of the many special memories of my grandparents arriving on Christmas Eve, Granddad holding us tight and looking us straight in the eye, with his beautiful BLue eyes, and commenting with his heavy british accent how much we have grown. Oh, I can hear, feel and smell him right now. Need to get a tissue now.

I hope everyone cherishes all their special memories, and make new ones .

Made My Day..I just have to share

Any of you that sell on ebay, especially all you talented artistic crafters. Its a challenge everyday to make sure your making something unique, and not to step on anyones toes. I have worked hard to build my name , one customer at a time, and my goal with everything I make, is to make the person happy that spends their hard earned money on my one of a kind originals. There is always that one person that just wants to knock you down, not my customers, but another fellow seller. I just dont understand the reasoning. Maybe they are unhappy in their life, I just dont know. But this actually just makes me stronger, and more creativity comes out of me. I love to share my ideas, if anyone asks for something, or how to do something, I would love to spread it around. And that is the same love I get from many other fellow sellers, but there is always one sour grape in the bunch. So in closing, I hope I didnt offend anyone from saying what I just said. I love doing what I do, and my heart warms when I can help, and when I needed it the most, I recieved this wonderful note from one of my customers. It makes it all worth it. God Bless all of you with the talent to create from your heart, and the heart to share it with everyone.

Gcod Evening, As a first time grandmother I was looking for something so special for my 5 week old granddaughter for Christmas and for every Christmas that we share with her. Ok , this is just crazy, Do you all feel like Christmas snuck up on us too fast?? I just dont know what the deal is this year. Time is flying, I know I keep saying that, but its true. How many of you got up early to fight the crowds? Not Me, I just couldnt get up, and I really didnt want to get out in the middle of all the people that wanted to share their Cold, flu etc. There isnt anything out there that I cant wait until it calms down to get. The same deals will be there next week. So instead I decided to pull out all my Christmas stuff. Wow , it amazes me every year how much STUFF we accumalate year after year.
This year Im going to share a pretty easy craft, that is a great way to display a bunch of those old ornaments, either from being passed down, or part of that large accumalation over the years, that wont fit on your CHRISTMAS TREE. Yes, I sad CHRISTMAS Tree, not a holiday tree, where did that come from anyway. If Im offending anyone by talking about CHRISTMAS or a CHRISTMAS TREE,, TOO BAD!! Im offended that it is being called a holiday tree. That said, Here is something fun for your charished CHRISTMAS ornaments.

First, get your ornaments together that you want to use, then you have to hot melt glue the tops on, make sure you put a gob of glue in the topper so the little loopy wire doesnt slip out once its attached to your wreath, get some floral wire, wire clippers, some ribbon, and a faux pine branch wreath. Then wrap your ribbon around your wreath, make a big bow, you can buy the bows already made too. Then use your floral wire, run it through the top of the ornament, and attach it to your wreath, You can put on as many as you want, The more the merrier, Its an easy Heirloom, And Im sure you will get many compliments. I decided to make one, when I was in one of the local craft stores and saw how much one of those mass produced UGLY wreaths cost. HANDMADE is always better, The wreath was very reasonable, and I had most of the other supplies. You can even use new ornaments, or start collecting them from Thrift stores, garage Sales and the huge after Christmas sales . Great gifts for your family and friends too. But mostly A wonderful way to display your Unused Ornaments. Another great display is to get a large jar, and put your ornament in that,Add a string of lights that are battery operated and you have a beautiful Center piece. Alot of you probably have some clear glass flower vases laying around, fill them with your bulbs,,and place them throughout the house,,so pretty. So many ideas , so many uses. OH I can just go on and on, I just Love A HANDMADE CHRISTMAS. If Your not the crafty type, I will be selling them on Ebay in a couple days, but they will be with all new ornaments, If you dont want to wait, just send me a message and I can set up a special auction for you.

Thanksgiving??? WOW, Im going to start getting ready for my summer vacation, it will be here in a flash, and that is going to be a big one, planning a family reunion.

It is NOVEMBER 14th!!! Wasnt it just Halloween??? Oh I just dont have enough time to get my list complete. This year has flown by so fast, seems faster every year. Why take down the Christmas Lights, We are just going to have to put them right back up :)

This week Im going to share some personal information with all of you , with hopes that it helps just one person. I have been going through a rough 2 years, dealing with my Perimenopause. I have Hypothyroidism with Hashimotos Disease too. So imagine what my hormones are doing.. Last year I THOUGHT I was getting the proper help, but after MANY months of reverting back to the same, Fatigue, heart palpatation, anxiety, to the point of not being able to do ANYTHING, I knew the treatment I was getting was not right for me. Due to insurance changing , I had to go to a different doctor , which the anticipation of having to pretty much start over explaining all my symptoms made me sick. So, Monday I went to my new doctor, WOW...I have never seen a doctor spend that much time with me, She wrote everything, pretty much mapped out my life for the past 2 years on her desk calendar. She reviewed the medication I have been on, and almost went through the roof when she found that I was prescribed a Hormone patch for my Estrogen levels..I was not a candidate for this since I still have my uterus, it can cause cancer and it was just making my symptoms worse, well I had stopped using it on my own several months ago, because I felt it was causing me to have 3 week long Excessive Periods , for 2 months in a row, and my doctor said it was NORMAL...How can bleeding so much be normal??!! Still dealing with the excessive fatigue pretty much debilitating some days, into weeks. I THINK i found my angel in a doctor, She changed my meds, I am in the middle of every blood test, EKG, Stress Test, Ultrasound to make sure it isnt anything else. She pretty much said what my mom has been telling me. My hormones are fighting with each other, and they need to learn to get along :) Today, after 5 days on new medication, I feel GREAT. Now dont get me wrong, I know this can change overnight, But today I feel great. Only we can tell when something is wrong, most doctors dont have the time to listen , until you start screaming, or being your own advocate. Write everything down, everyday, what you did, what you ate, what your feel, etc. see if there is a pattern. And find a doctor that will listen. If in doubt , get another opinion. I hope this wasnt too much information for some of you, I only wish to help. I know IM not the only one out there with similiar problems. Sometimes is good to know that you arent the only one, and we can help each other through it. Getting old sucks, and im not ready to feel old. I have too much to do, especially what I love.

Today for the Pink, I am painting with pink paint. Ill show you when they are complete, but here is my Pink christmas Tree made with over a hundred of my ribbon roses.

Is it Saturday already?!! I just dont know where the week goes lately. Wasnt it just Halloween a WEEK AGO?? Wow I need time to slow down , its going by too fast.

I guess its that time of the year to start our Holiday Shopping, I am definitely not ready for that. The crowds in the stores,,YUK! I am going to really try to be prepared this year by starting early. Many of my friends decided this year, we are going to only give Handmade gifts to each other, this way its really from the heart. NO mass produced chauckie (Not sure about the spelling on that :) ) that will sit and collect dust, I definetly do not want any dust collectors. I love getting handmade anyway. So its a great idea. Some make scarves, purses, homemade soup, cookies, a photo album, a framed picture of their Dog, you name it, wouldnt that be awesome to get? So Im promoting HANDMADE this year, since that is what I do, and love it. When you just dont know what to get that special person, buy handmade, they are usually one of a kind items that you cant find in a store, you know its made with love, and someones precious time.

I have sold my handmade pretties on ebay for many years, and usually by christmas I am so burnt out, I dont have the energy to make items for the ones I love, I hear it every year, I would love to have that pillow, or stocking or a pair of pink jammies etc. So I've already started my list and gradually will make something special for my family too.

So to celebrate Pink Saturday, Im going to start by showing you one of my Christmas stockings, I love the pink, I love making many items with pink, but I do sway away from pink at times so I hope you watch. But this sweetie of a stocking is for today. I would also like to tell you about other sellers I have met on ebay, etsy, and Lollishops. There are so many talented artists that make the sweetest handmade goodies, I hope you have a chance to check them out this holiday season. Custom Personalized KEEPSAKE Christmas Stocking

Its that time of the year around here, and thanks to my Sister-in-Love and my cutie niece ,they are out peddling my Custom Stockings. Since I am offering them in so many places I figured I better make it easier to find them, I hope this helps.

I have been selling these for over 3 years now, with the keepsake images on them, they are images that I print onto cotton fabric, not the iron on, these will not crack. They are definitely a Treasured Heirloom, and I hope you pack a Hankie along with it, from my experience they cause the water to flow from the eyes :).

I have made Family, grandchildren, children, Pets, First Christmas together, Baby's First Christmas. Individual family members with photos from baby to adult. As long as you can email me the photo, I can print MOST photos.

The stockings are made like a scrap quilt, and machine topstitched throughout. Lined with quilters fleece for long lasting durability and a cooridinating fabric on the inside, a detachable bow and a big jingle bell tied to the toe, Measures Approx 18" from top to toe. Another Halloween is over, all the decorations are put away, and the Thanksgiving Turkeys are on display. My Halloween was busy,busy. Started out the morning painting a bunch of old furniture white, Prime, then paint...it was so nice outside , My sister and I decided to pull it all out on her driveway to work on it,,Being a Saturday Morning, we had the usual lookie lous, thinking we were having a yard sale, Obviously with all the paint, tarps and furniture partly primed and doors removed, we werent having a sale. But they still stopped to see what we were doing. We could have done a better job, I must admit, but the furniture it for our little shop we are attempting to get up and running in the next two weeks, and they will be used only for display cases, table etc. They are truely SHABBY CHIC. Most of the furniture we have picked up at garage sales for nickles and dimes, The primer and Paint was the biggest expense. A few pictures of the before on some, and Ill keep you all updated on the completion.

Then the kids were getting antsy to go out trick or treating, all dressed up, off they went. I stayed behind with my grandbaby , he had an ear infection so it wasnt wise to take him out in the cold air, but grandma couldnt resist giving him a sucker, Oh My,,,that was the best candy EVER. He made such a mess with that little sucker.

Not too many goblins this year, I didnt even buy that much candy, and still had alot left. Bagged it up , put it in the freezer, out of my eye site. Thats all I need. Im sure the kids will find it in the garage freezer soon enough.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

WOW, this week flew by, With a visit to the pumpkin patch with ALL my boys, I cant believe they all wanted to go, I cherish these moments so much, My youngest still likes to go, plus now I have a grandson that was more interested in the bark than the pumpkins, then we have pumpkins to be carved and costumes to put together, and too much candy in the house already. Im exhausted!!
My kids are getting too old for mom to make their costumes , I would make them if they wanted me to, but with all boys, they have a mind of their own. My oldest now has his own son, so my sweet daughter in law had the pleasure of dressing him, Of course I wanted to do it, but I guess I have to step back. I have always made my kids costumes, never store bought. I always wanted them to be unique. But they have outgrown mom. This year my #2 son just couldnt decide if he wanted to dress up, my #3 son wanted to be a soldier, so at least he let his dad and me piece together his uniform, hoping it wouldnt offend any of our soldiers serving in the military. He ended up with my brother in laws Army shirt, a pair of camo pants from Target, and his dad picked him up a hat , belt and canteen from the Army surplus store which was from the Marines. He actually looked so cute, he was so proud to wear it.

The last time my kids let mE make costumes, actually begged me , was the year they both wanted Star wars, they turned out so good, I still have the costumes, Too much work to get rid of them. Maybe my Danny will want to wear the larger one some day.

Freezing Friday

It really starting to feel like fall around here, the leaves from the neighbors tree is making a huge mess in my yard, an every year occurance, Its always the first tree to loose all of its leaves, and the wind blows them all over my yard, lucky for him but a mess for us. But its actually pretty, and the wind will pick up and blow them on to the next yard in a couple days. Five years ago this month, my husband was sitting out on our bench in the front yard eating a piece of chicken, when along came a beautiful grey cat, he must have smelled the chicken because he instantly became my husbands new best friend. And my husband did the worse thing you can do , to a stray animal..FED HIM . That cat never left. He adopted us. He was very shy at first, he would only go to my husband, he followed him everywhere, probably hoping for some more chicken. Eventually we just took him in, got him a food and water bowl, a bed for the ledge outside under the window and gave him a name, "Ash", Because there was a huge fire going and there was Ash falling around us, and he was the same color. Anyway, he finally warmed up to me, and the rest of the family enough to venture into the house, not for long, at the time my youngest was 5 and very active, so he scared him off out of the house, but that didnt take long for him to venture back inside. And found a welcome spot for him on our bed,

Now 5 years later, he wants to stay in the house on cold nights, and windy days, but would rather be on the prowl on warm nights, he is spoiled. He gets the scraps off the roasted chickens, he always seems to know when that is. He knows when my husband is about to come home, and is very sensitive to when we are not feeling well. He is a beautiful cat, so sorry to who lost him, but he actually didnt look very well when he found us, but now he is awesome. And on a cold windy day like today he didn't waste anytime snuggling in for his ALL day nap.

It's a happy "PINK" Saturday around here today, After many years of building my little business in many venues online, and around town, I am finally included in an AD in "Romantic Homes", my favorite magazine of all time.

Last year I was so excited to see my Christmas Stockings in a photo spread in the December Issues of Romantic Homes, even though my name was not mentioned, it was still the highlight of my year for my business. I vowed at that time that some day, my name will be mentioned. So this year I was so blessed to be part of the "Lollishops" Holiday Ad, and then after seeing the ad, I was listed first! Wow that made my year, thank you Sadie, from Lollishops. I hope everyone checks it out, there are so many talented crofter's.

I am amazed how fast a week can go by, when I didn't get anything done that I had planned to do. The flu hit my house last Sunday like a LION! So without saying much about that, it was a very unproductive week.
WASH YOUR HANDS, DON'T TOUCH YOUR FACE, USE Antibacterial SOAP, WIPES ETC... That didn't keep it away. My #2 son was hit on Saturday Night, I walked behind him , cleaning it up. (The germ path that is) wiping down the doorknobs , the sinks, the handles to everything he touched. Put on the air cleaner, walked through the house with a burning newspaper :) (not sure what it does, maybe scares the viruses away..Ha! By Monday Night, guess who was sharing the Love..ME!! I'm not allowed to get sick! Who is going to take care of the boys in the house? Thank god I had a menu planned and food stocked in the house that was easy for them to handle. I'm hoping all of my cleaning scared some of the viruses away, maybe , hopefully it ended with me ..FOR NOW?

Ill pray to the flu gods that it stays far away from everyone. My pink kitty and those wonderful pink Peptos were my best friends this week. Jamba juice too. Aw that was the best thing on the 2nd day. Thank you honey.

A beautiful Saturday Here in Southern California, the birds are singing and the trees are starting to turn colors. Thank you so much for including me on "Pink Saturday"
Last week I talked about my youngest little guy, and I felt it important to let you know a little about my #2 son. I know it isnt Pink, but He is like a beautiful Pink rose to me.

Our Middle Son, #2, will be 18 in January, he has been in Boyscouts since the 1st grade. And after all of this time he is finally getting to the end of his scouting career by completing his Eagle Community Service Project. He is into the screaming hardcore gut wrenching music (which I hate) but then he plays everything else too so beautifully on his guitar, His guitar and music are his passion. He has long blond hair more than 1/2 way down his back, he wears black ALL the time. If I let him get piecings he would probably be like a pincushion, but we dont allow that or tattoos until he graduates high school, then its his decision,hopefully by then he will be past that stage. Anyone that doesnt know him very well probably gets a different perception of him. Yesterday, he had to go to the stores to ask for Donations, In his Scout uniform with his hair tied back, he was so afraid someone he knew would see him. First off, the attendance lady from his high school runs into him,, oh my god, is this Joey??? She was so impressed and told him how proud she was of him. I never seen such a huge smile on his face. An older gentleman stopped him in the parking lot, and wanted to see all his badges on his sash, he was so impressed, he shook my Joeys hand, and told him he was proud of him, He didnt even know this man. Finally after 10 years of being in Scouting, it took a stranger to say how proud they were , for him to realize what scouting has done for him. I wanted to cry. Why does it take a stranger to get your kids to listen? We have been telling him the same thing . I guess we dont count . When picking his Eagle Project he had always said he didnt want to build a bench or a table, because that is all he ever sees, so after many , many , many ideas , he finally came up with a wonderful one. He is collecting new or used DVD's for OPERATION GRATITUDE. Operation Gratitude collects certain item and then boxes them up in care packages for our Military Overseas. Every year my son and his Boy Scout Troop go to the Armory and help in packing up these boxes. This year he will be able to contribute to the boxes through his Eagle Project. We are so proud of him for that. To come up with a thoughtful thing to do for our men and women protecting us overseas. So, in closing, My Joey is my Beautiful Pink Rose, full of hopes and dreams, and on his way .

Welcome to another Pink Saturday, I am so excited to be part of this. Last week was so much fun. I really wanted to hit every blog , but time blew by so fast. But I want to Thank Beverly so much for inviting me to participate again.

As you can see I love PINK, my favorite Pink Sharpie, my Pink Phone , and My Pink Deck of Playing Cards. My youngest little guy (10) gave these to me, for One, he knows that PINK is my favorite color, but mostly because he loves playing games. This time of the year Im so busy sewing, that he has to come and bring me out of my PINK fog and get some quality time together by challenging me to one of his favorite games of War, concentration ( Which he is so good at, I rarely get much of a chance) and now his new favorite~Poker~The winner? Well we both win , just the giggling is enough for me. And the homemade brownies he convinces me that we just have to have. I have 3 Beautiful Boys, and my loving ,supportive husband. I am so blessed that they can tolerate my love of Pink. I have always told them , when they all grow up and move out on their own, their dad will be helping me transform our boy friendly home into my PINK CASTLE :) , But Im not ready for all of them to move yet, so My pink sharpie, Pink Phone and my special deck of Pink cards are all I need.,,,,for now..

I am so excited to part of Pink Saturday, Thank you for inviting me to your group. Today for my first post for Pink Saturday, I am going to promote one of my favorite Fabric Stores on the net. Mostly because it is all about Pink, Susan from Urban Gardens has the best store to buy all your favorite shabby pink roses fabric, I know that is my opinion, but I also know you wont be disappointed when your package shows up. Always tied with a pink ribbon, and a pretty pack of fabric laundry soap tucked in. Always brings a smile to my face, I love the smell of fresh cut fabric from Urban Gardens. I know that probably sounds a little crazy, but I LOVE FABRIC, and those that love fabric like me, will totally understand what Im talking about.
